About Sabatia Constituency

Sabatia constituency is one of the five constituency in Vihiga County established in 1988. It has a Land Coverage approximately 105.40 Km2 with a population of 123,761. It consists of 6 wards namely; Sabatia West, North Maragoli, Busali, Izava Lyaduywa, Chavakali and Wodanga. Sabatia constituency is among the most densely populated area in Kenya with land sub-divided into uneconomical parcels. Access to services is one of the shortfall effects that hamper economic development in Sabatia constituency. With the increased number of learners compared to limited learning facilities has become a challenge in Sabatia constituency. Other challenges include early pregnancy and insecurity.
